Obituary

Alfred Lee Foley, age 83 of Lambertville, MI passed into God's graces surrounded by his devoted and loving children on February 1, 2022, after a fulfilling life as a father, mentor and dear friend. Al was born in Toledo, OH on November 4, 1938, to Edward and Gladys Foley. After graduating from Whitmer Sr. High School in 1958, he joined the US Army. Upon completion of his service to our country, Al became a carpenter, which became his lifelong passion and career eventually operating as A.L. Foley Builders. Al was always there for his family and friends. So many relied on him for advice, or most often to help fix something. He was a quiet man, determined to provide for his family and be an example of how to live life. His family meant more to him than words could say, and his family always knew and felt his love. Al was a lifelong student, a self-taught PhD of how things work. He also had an MBA in making the most of what you have, also self-taught. Just a few of the many traits of Al that his family and friends will cherish. Al was an avid outdoorsman from mushroom hunting and snowmobiling at his place in Mancelona, MI to boating and fishing on Lake Erie. He was a lifetime member of Great Northern Sportsman Club and Riverview Yacht Club. Al worked hard but also knew how to have fun. He was a man that if you were lucky to meet, you learned something and was better for it. Al was preceded in death by his mother Gladys, and father Edward Foley. He is survived by his devoted children, Tina (Keith Dominiak) Wiley, Tracy (Ron) Morrin, Wendy (Tim) Eggleston, Nicole (Frank) Kern and Jeff Foley; his brother Edward Foley and sister Sharon Long and his beloved 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Friends are invited for a Celebration of Life luncheon from 1-4 pm, Sunday March 6, 2022 at the Great Northern Sportsman Club, 6255 Pelton Lane, Ottawa Lake, Mi. Come have a beer in Al's memory ~
