Alphonso (Beau) Welch,70, of Fremont, Ohio, and Edenton North Carolina passed away March 15, 2021, in Gibsonburg, Ohio. Alphonso who was also known as "Pretty Black or Chi-town" to his friends and family, was born in North Carolina to William Welch and Annie Gunion on June 18, 1950, In North Carolina. Throughout his life, he was always a kind given person who will be deeply missed. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends but mostly just enjoyed life. Alphonso is preceded in his death by his parents, William and Annie of North Carolina, and three of his sisters: Lucille Welch, Annie Holley, and Sadie White, and three brothers: Johnny Welch, Andrew Welch, William Welch Jr. Alphonso is survived by his daughter Dawn Roberts (Welch) of Fremont Ohio, son n law Cortlend Roberts of Chicago Illinois, three granddaughters: Tatiyana Welch, Aquisha Johnson, Seneca Johnson, and one grandson: Phadrez Johnson. Three sisters: Carrie Britt, Margaret Holley both of Edenton, N.C., and Beulah Hill (James) of Plymouth, N.C, He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins as well. Arrangements for Alphonso are being handled by R.A. Scott Funeral Home in Toledo Ohio, due to COVID the family will not be holding a funeral but they are having a memorial service to celebrate his life further details will be provided by his daughter Dawn Roberts.
