Obituary

Anna Coker (February 10, 1920 - March 4, 2011) COKER, Anna - of Curtice, age 91, passed peacefully Friday morning, March 4, 2011, surrounded by her family and is now reunited with her husband. Anna was born on February 10, 1920 to the parents of George Sr. and Pauline Lagos. In 1939 she met the love of her life, Dayton Odel, and together they had 4 children: Denny Coker, George (Butch) Coker, Jeanette Stahl and Patricia Michalak. Anna was a proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren; 23 great grand children; and 2 great great grand children. Survived by siblings, George Lagos, Helen Myrice and Mary Mather. Anna was a loving mother, grandmother, and an extremely hard worker. Anna worked at Libbey-Owens-Ford for over 20 years while building a business with Odel. Anna and Odel founded and successfully operated Butch and Denny's Grocery and Bait Store in Curtice for over 40 years where she enjoyed talking with customers. Anna was a loving, extremely generous and well loved person. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, cooking and playing with her great grandchildren. Her smile, laughter and incredible character touched so many lives; she is irreplaceable and will greatly be missed by her entire family and friends. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 North Stadium Rd. Oregon, OH. A brunch will follow the service.
