Barbara Jean Smith Barbara Jean Smith, 78 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Friday August 5, 2011 in the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg Campus. Barbara was born on November 10, 1932 in Antwerp, Ohio to Roy and Margaret (Duby) Hughes. Barbara worked for Meijer's for the past 10 years and Suncrest Health Faculty and was a Bartender for many years. Barbara enjoyed gardening, reading and playing bingo. She volunteered for the VFW honor guard, the Jerry Lewis Telethon, helping families at Christmas and was former president of the American Legion Aux. Surviving are her sons, Herb (Carol) Smith, Terry Smith, Greg Smith, daughter, Lanette (David) Richards, brothers, John Hughes, Ron (Joyce) Hughes, Sisters, Ethel and Donna, also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild. There will be no visitation or services. Arrangements by the Caring Cremation Services.
