Obituary

Beckie Bivens was born August 2nd 1959 in Grand rapids Michigan and earned her wings October 21st 2022 Born to Elizabeth Severance and Clare Mockerman. Proceeding her in death are sister Laurie Schussler, brother Roger Severance, Melodie Hull and Missy Jo Hull. She is survived by her loving husband Bobby Bivens, three beautiful children David, Audrey and Kayla Kippes. Eleven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren with 1 on the way. Brothers John (Linda) Hull, Warren (Cheri) Hull, sister Kristie Drayton, sister-in-law Norma Bivens and mother-in-law Shirley West along with a host of special loved nieces and nephews. The great "loves " in Beckie's life were her husband and family, her faith, and her work as a professional seamstress. Sewing was her passion her skills on the sewing machine were comprehensive she could design and make/create anything people wanted. She operated her own wedding dress and Taylor shop business creating beautiful memories for others. Beckie also worked in sewing machine repair/maintenance at JoAnn Fabrics, in the hospitality industry as a manager of Motel 6 and finally in senior care assistance. She found her greatest joy in the relationships with those she loved and befriended. Beckie always looked forward to a quiet relaxing time fishing and Rv-ing with her husband Bobby, loving her children and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never found it to be a burden but an absolute delight for her to help anyone when she could. Beckie was active in community events and in her church, St. Paul United Methodist Church in Toledo, Ohio. She was a founding member of "Marketplace for All People" a ministry at St. Paul's Church that offers a free store, pantry and worship/fellowship opportunities for the community. She loved exotic birds with a special bond with Sadie, she also loved collected and adored elephants. Beckie lived her life with a reconciling heart and a generous spirit that will be dearly missed. A Service of Death and Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday November 5th, 2022 at 11:00 am at Saint Paul's United Methodist Church, 1201 Madison Toledo Ohio, A luncheon/repass will follow at the community room at the office on the property of Byrnehill Mobile Home Estates, 3601 Hill Ave Toledo Ohio 43607. In Lou of flowers and condolences the family is asking to please donate funding for expenses and future expenses for the care of her great grandchildren.
