Ben Ray Johnson, son of the late Grant Johnson Jr. and Annie Jean Johnson- Jones was born May 29, 1952 in Nashville, AK. He attended Woodward High School and worked as an Assembly line artisan for a number of years at National Wire. He professed his faith in Jesus Christ in 1976 and became a dedicated member of Bibleway Apostolic Household of Faith under the leadership of the late Bishop Carl E. Mitchell and Pastor Bruce C. Mitchell for many years and could recite the Word like no other! Ben was gifted with an amazingly smooth tenor voice that was so captivating. He was a member of Bibleway Men's Chorus for a small timeframe, and those men sang often, never failing to tear the house down every time. He was charismatic, quick-witted, and comical. He'd undoubtedly light up a room with his presence. He was united in holy matrimony to Yolonda Duke-Johnson on October 16, 1982. This union was blessed with three children. Yolonda Johnson preceded him in death on November 11, 2022. His influence, kindness, giving heart, and infectious smile will forever remain dear in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his sister Tonya McKinley; brothers Anthony, and Harold Johnson. He leaves to forever cherish his memory his children Ben Jr. (Marissa), Ryan Sr., and Shawn Johnson all of Toledo, Oh. Three grandsons, Ryan Jr., Elijah, and Josiah; sisters, Karen (Kaye) McCallum, Marva (Moses) White, Pamela Johnson; brothers, Kenneth Johnson, Harry Johnson, Larry (Robin) Johnson, Scott Johnson, his beautiful Aunts Mamie Jo Sherman and Katie Jo Dedner; Uncle Arnett Johnson, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
