We celebrate the life of Betty Jean (Sharp) Brasher this Wednesday, the 7th day of December 2011, from 6-7 p.m. The gathering and a celebration service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at The Bersticker-Scott funeral home 3453 Heatherdowns at Byrne Road. Betty was born July 9, 1933, and went home to be with Our Lord on December 4, 2011. Betty was a registered nurse for Circa 40+ years working mainly for Mercy Hospital in the emergency room. Mom loved her family above all things. One word that would describe mom is Giver. Mom was and did give until her last breath. Just like the book, The Giving Tree, she dropped everything for the people she loved. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, John C. Brasher. Left to cherish her memory are children, Ronald Brasher (Mary Jo) of Toledo, Debra Miracola of Toledo, Richard Brasher (Jodie) of Port Charlotte, Florida, Pamela Janowiecki of Toledo and Michael Brasher of Toledo. Betty enjoyed 14 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren, and brother Charles Sharp (Phyllis) of Oak Harbor, Ohio. Having a relationship with Jesus Christ, Betty/Mom/ Ma Maw would say: Have a Merry Christmas and wipe away the tears. Remember, I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
