Bruce D. Degner Bruce D. Degner passed away July 1, 2011 in the Toledo campus of Hospice of NOW at the age of 46 with his family by his side. Bruce was born in Delta on January 16, 1965 to Charles and Ila Rose (Schroeder) Degner. He worked as a carpenter and painter for SMB Construction for many years. Bruce loved to build things and working for SMB was more of an interest to him than a job; Bruce also enjoyed fishing, gardening and his dogs along with listening to alternative music. Bruce is survived by his son Nick Byrne, daughters Amber (Pete) Savage, Amanda Miller and Sarah Johnson, his brothers Craig and Charlie (Linda) Degner, his sister Laura Degner and grandchildren Kaiden and Brynleigh Savage and Lucas Miller and his special friends Penny Case, Rob Capilla and Dave Ballash. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns on Tuesday July 5th from 2-8 PM. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM., Wednesday July 6th in the funeral home.
