Carol A. Lewis, 61 of Oregon Ohio passed away on Sunday July 9th of 2023 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo Ohio unexpectedly. She was the daughter of Melvin and Marie M. (Basta) Eckard and was born in Toledo Ohio on July 26th, 1961. Carol spent most of her career working in the food service industry as a cook/manager for the former Ranch restaurant in Oregon Ohio, Big Boys, and White Tower in Toledo Ohio. Her favorite holiday was Christmas in which she enjoyed getting together with her sisters and mother to make their famous sugar cookie cutouts. For Carol her family meant the world to her. She doted on her grandchildren. Sitting and watching them play while praising them on all of their life achievements was one of her favorite pastimes. Carol loved to play video games and playing Pac Man with her sister Donna was one of her most favorite things to do. She also enjoyed playing board games with her other family members. Carol is survived by her sons; David L. Hurst, Daniel K. Lewis Jr., Jeremy Z. Lewis, her grandchildren; David Hurst Jr., Raelynn Hurst, Riley Hurst, Emma Chamberlin, Novalie Mikels, Landon Mikels, and Daniel Lewis III, her siblings; brother Lewis (Genevieve) Eckard, and sisters Barbara (Dan) Denys, and Tina Millhoan along with many nieces and nephews. Proceeding her in death were her parents Marie and Melvin Eckard, sister Donna J. Law, grandparents Paul and Helen Sill as well as Minnie and Joseph Basta.
