Charles Joseph "Chuck" Linkey May 21, 1940 - January 17, 2016 Pass Christian, MS Charles "Chuck" Linkey, age 75, of Pass Christian, MS passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 21, 1940 in Gibsonburg, OH to Myrle and Helen Jean Linkey. Along with his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his son, Charles "CJ" Linkey, II and sister, Helen E. Linkey. He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Joyce Ann Linkey, his children, Cheryl (Thomas) Walter, Christine (Christopher) Morris, Keith (Traci) Linkey, Kurt Abbey, Kelly (Bobby) Covington, Kerry (Tim) Sorrell, Keith (Korrin) Abbey, Kristin Wallace and 17 grandchildren. He also leaves behind two loving sisters and a brother-in-law Jeanne Lay, MaryEllen & Jim Colston along with numerous nieces and nephews. Chuck proudly served in the United States Marines as a flight engineer in his early years. He was a member of the "Coffee Club" that gathered at Tommy's "to solve world problems". He also enjoyed tinkering with his black Dodge truck in preparation for Cruisin' the Coast with sidekick Lucky. His favorite pastime was bass fishing with wife, friends, kids or anyone who would grab a pole. He will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Gulfport Memorial for their compassion shown during our father's stay in ICU and Comfort Care. Words cannot express our gratitude. Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until service time.
