Charles Peters, 83, passed away on July 15, 2018 in Heartland of Oregon, Ohio. Charles Peters was born on August 9, 1934 in Mound Bayou, Mississippi to Reuben and Hattie Peters (whom preceded him in death). Charles had various jobs in Toledo, but the one job he excelled in was working for Libbey Glass for 32 years. He also became President of Local 700 Union in 1985. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He also loved to go to garage sales whenever possible. He would barbecue in any kind of weather because that was one of his passions. He is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Ernestine Peters; his children, Laron, Michele, Donna Ivey (Tony), Felicia (Harold) Selena, Kimberly (Mike), Charles Jr., Ernest Sr. (Ladonna), Stephen, and Letitia Williams; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Johnny and Reuben; sister, Lavelle King; favorite sister-in-law, Tommie Noel Martin; and many nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by grandson, Eric Peters; sister, Minnie Sebree; and daughters, Donna Baum and Letitia Williams. He will be missed by many.
