Darlean B. Allgire passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018. Born to Edward and Blanche (Westcott) Zimmerman on June 12, 1924, her family was the center of her life. Darlean graduated from The Bible Holiness Seminary in Owosso, Michigan in 1942 before returning to Ohio and completing her high school courses and graduating from Grand Rapids High School in 1943. She then became a Certified Deaconess in The Pilgrim Holiness Church. After a time of working at the Rossford Ordinance during WWII, and armed with her schooling and a love for her Savior Jesus Christ, she spent time as a missionary to the Indigenous population on a reservation in Ontario, Canada. After a time she returned to Northwestern Ohio and was instrumental in assisting her best friend and fellow missionary to start churches in Wood and Henry county. Due to her church work, she started her beloved family later than was usual in that time period. She was introduced to Donald R. Allgire by a mutual friend and they were married on July 9, 1960. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, best friend, Irene (Tanier) Lang, infant son, Edward Earl, daughter, Cheryl (Charles) VanDyne and all of her siblings. She is survived by daughter Charlene Koch, grandchildren, Amanda (Fred) Wolpert, John VanDyne, Caleb VanDyne, Michael (Lindsey) Koch and Sarah (Adam) Petrucci. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Cati, Hailey, Leta, Ricky and Micah. Our hearts are broken at our loss of her presence, but are comforted in the knowledge that she is now living in a new and whole body and we are able see her again in Heaven.
