Darrell James Hornyak, 75, passed away peacefully in his home December 12/6/2023. Darrell was born January 10, 1948 to Steven and Rose Hornyak (both deceased). He graduated from Woodward High School (c/o 1966) and retired from BP Oil Refinery after a long career as an Instrument Technician. He was preceded in death by his brother Stephen (Sonny) Hornyak. Darrell is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Christine (Tina) Hornyak, his children Nichole (Philip) Dewald, Andrew Phillips, Jeff (Kelly) Phillips and Donald (Deonne) Zientek. He is also survived by his sister Elaine (Harold) Fern and Sister-in law Carol Hornyak. Darrell also leaves behind 4 nephews, 8 grand children and 4 great-grand children, and his beloved dog Honey. The family will be having a Celebration of Life on January 13, 2024 at 22 Edgewater Park Toledo, OH from 2-6 pm. The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and specifically Corey for the loving care. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Toledo Humane Society in his name.
