Denford (Denny) W. Johnson Denford W. Johnson, age 70 of Metamora, passed away surrounded by his family on December 31, 2010. Denny was born on August 21, 1940 in Paducah Kentucky, the son of Robert and Bertha (Tucker) Johnson. Denny worked as a setup operator for the Parker Hannifin Company retiring in 1999. Denny is survived by his wife, Joan, children Denny (Missy) Johnson, Troy ( Bonnie ) Johnson, Ginger (Dennis) Schwyn, Eric (Stephanie) Johnson, step-children Jeff (Lori) Fillinger, Ron (Jody) Hudik, Kristy ( Steve) Schmidlin, Joel ( Jackie) Hudik, 24 grandchildren and one great grandchild and his sister Ruby Hogan. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Denny enjoyed fishing, hunting and refinishing furniture but his most notable involvement over the last 20 years was with AA. Denny thought of his AA friends as his second family. He stated before he passed that the last 20 years were the happiest days of his life. The family will be celebrating Denny's life Saturday January 8th at Immaculate Conception -Mary Grove Church 1750 N. Raab Road at 11 A.M. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Odyssey Hospice. Caring Cremation Services (419-377-0359) assisted the family with arrangements.
