Denis C. Logan SR

May 14th, 1939 - September 3rd, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Denis C. Logan SR., who departed this world in his Maumee home on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the age of 86. In his last days he was surrounded by his wife, children, family, and friends.

Preceded in death by his mother Dorothy, father William, and his older brother Robert.

Denis was born in Houston, Texas on May 14th, 1939, to parents William Hamilton Logan and Dorothy McCord Logan, and raised in Jacksonville, Florida

Denis enlisted in the U.S Army at the age of 17 and served from October 1956-August 1959. He moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1963 and started working for Coca Cola. Soon after moving to Toledo, he met the love of his life, Sandi. They married on November 1st, 1963.

During their 62-year marriage they resided in Toledo, Ohio and raised 3 children. Then in 2005 they retired to Palm Coast, Florida. This past December he and Sandi moved back to Ohio to be closer to family.

Denis had a deep love for his family. He took them on countless vacations, which included Disney World, camping, and many trips to the beach. As he got older, he spent time traveling with his wife. They enjoyed going on cruises and meeting new people. Denis was always reading, whether it was a newspaper, a book, or surfing the internet. He was very knowledgeable on all topics.

Denis was known for his big, beautiful smile, sense of humor, and brutal honesty. He was charming and full of life. If you called him in need, he was always there to help, he was beyond generous.

One of his greatest accomplishments was his 51 years of sobriety.

Denis is survived by his angel wife Sandra (Sandi) Jennings Logan; sister Susan Logan (Mai Alyschild); sons Robert (Kim) Logan, Denis Jr (Laura) Logan; daughter Colleen (Rob) Hiatt.

8 grandchildren, Christopher, Theo, Tucker, Denis III, Dylan, Hunter, Hudson, Harlie, and 11 beautiful great grandchildren.

A Memorial in Denis's honor will be held on Sunday, September 21, from 2p.m.- 6p.m.

(program 2:30pm-3:00pm) at the

Reynolds Reception Center

419 N. Reynold Rd., Toledo, Ohio

There will be a lite reception following the service, from 3-6pm
