Drew C. Hoffer passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 at his home in Ottawa Hills, Ohio. He was born on January 7, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio to Jerry and Jessica Hoffer. Drew graduated from St. Francis High School in 1966, recently celebrating with his classmates, their 50th class reunion. Drew married his wife Beth in 1969 and raised his four daughters at their home in Ottawa Hills. Throughout his career, he worked in the family business, JACHs Warehouse, as well as managed the Northwest Ohio Foodbank for part of his career. Drew is survived by his wife, Beth Hoffer, his 4 daughters, Amy (Michael) Benavente, Callie Hoffer, Jessica (Russ) Saito, and Jayme Hoffer, his grandchildren, Ava Benavente and Dominic Saito and his brothers, Jerry (Marian) Hoffer and Armand (Dawn) Hoffer. Drew is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Jessica Hoffer. Besides spending time with his wife, daughters and grandkids, Drew loved going to lunch with his friends. Fall was his favorite time of year, as it is football season. He was an ardent fan of U of M football, and not only did he wear his maize and blue proudly, he flew his U of M flag all season. His funeral mass will be held at Gesu Catholic Church, 2049 Parkside Boulevard, at noon on Thursday, October 20, 2016. Provide comfort for the family by planting a tree in memory of Drew C.
