Dwight Anthony Cardale Boyd passed away January 13, 2017, at the age of 67 in his home, after a period of declining health. He was a beloved brother, son, uncle, nephew and cousin. After graduating from Calvin M. Woodward High School, he attended Owens Technical College and earned a degree in Criminology. He also graduated from the American Truck Driving School. In high school, he was a letterman in football and wrestling and an accomplished player. He worked several years as a crane operator at Baron Steel Company. His family and friends remember him as a loving and caring soul who was always concerned with whether those around him were having a good time. Friends will remember his generous spirit. Dwight often felt responsible for everyone's wellbeing. He was a great fan of movies and especially enjoyed horror, suspense and crime dramas. He was also a jazz music enthusiast. Dwight was a positive and exuberant presence that will surely be missed. He is survived by his siblings, Harold, Jr., Sheila (Gregory) Boyd-Siek, and Marvin, his nieces, Stephanie and Natalie Siek, Alisha Boyd and nephew, Zack Siek, and many cousins and friends.
