Elfriede J. Carter, of Lambertville, passed away September 28, 2015, at the age of 90. Mrs. Carter was born January 26, 1924 in Germany to Jakob and Josefiene (Steves) Faldman. Elfriede Work as a waitress for Belle Isle restaurant, she also liked crocheting and knitting, tennis, volleyball and dancing. Mrs. Carter was a member of the G.A.F and the American Turners German Club which she enjoyed traveling to Europe and going on cruises. Elfriede is survived by her husband Edward, son Randy (Katherine) Carter, daughter Laura (Jim Collins) Carter, and Brother Wolfgang Faldman, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren, she is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Helmet and Winfried. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, from 2-5pm at Trilby Park Shelter House, 1325 Shawnee Rd. Toledo, OH, and donations can be made to ProMedica Hospice.
