Gregory "Bogie" Pesina

November 7, 1975 – December 24, 2025

Gregory "Bogie" Pesina, age 50, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family in Toledo, Ohio.

Bogie was born on November 7, 1975, to Greg Pesina and Christina Dernier. Known to many by his nickname, he will be remembered for the vibrant spirit he brought to the lives of those who knew him. Recognized for his generous, selfless heart, he was the person his family and friends could always count on; whether it was fixing a car or lending a hand with a difficult task, he was there to help at the drop of a hat.

Bogie is survived by his parents, Greg Pesina and Christina (Larry) Dernier; his children, Krystal, Kelsey, Chase, Gregory, Joanna, and Izabella; and his grandchildren. As a brother, he leaves behind Gabrielle (Darin) Stahl, Joshua, Paul, Anthony, Zachary (Veronique), and Mitchell Pesina. His memory will also be carried on by a large community of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and a niece.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gregorio and Margarita Negron-(Torres)-Pesina and David and Joanne Rangel; his stepmother, Robin Pesina; his aunt, Rita Butte; his uncles, Robert and Anthony Pesina; and his cousins, Juan "Little John" Silva and Rachael McHugh, with whom he is now reunited. Bogie's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of calling him a son, brother, and friend.

A celebration of Bogie's life will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 434 Western Ave, Toledo, OH 43609.
