Harold Boyd January 20, 1948 - July 9, 2023 Harold William Boyd passed away July 9, 2023 of cancer, at age 75. He was a beloved father, grandfather, son, grandson, uncle and friend. He graduated from Calvin M. Woodward High School in 1966, having played as a running back on the football team and competed in the triple jump on the track and field team there. Harold then took business coursework at both Wilberforce University and the University of Toledo Community and Technical College. He went on to work at Textileather, which made interior fabrics for cars, for 41 years. Harold was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church at 12, and his brothers and sister all followed him to the altar. He had a passion for God and was a kind and generous person with a playful sense of humor. He was a lifelong sports fan, and rarely missed a televised football, basketball or baseball game. He loved music - R&B and Jazz - and was once known for his extensive record collection and high-end audio equipment. He was also known for being a sharp dresser in his youth. Harold was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Brandy; parents Mabel and Harold Boyd; and his brother Dwight. He is survived by his daughter Alicia Lyndi Boyd, grandson Ayden Boyd-Pickett and former wife Bonnie (Carr) Williams. He also leaves to mourn his sister, Sheila (Greg) Boyd-Siek, brother Marvin Boyd, nieces Stephanie and Natalie and nephew Zachary Siek, and many other relatives and friends.
