Jack G. Brown, age 70, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, October 6th. Jack was born on September 19, 1946. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kathryn L. (Dokurno) Brown, and Brothers Rodney (Catherine), Donald (Grazie) and Sister Rebecca Klepacz. Jack joined the Marine Corp. after high school serving 4 years, including a year in Viet Nam, with the rank of Sergeant. Upon returning home he worked in the family drywall business and then as a maintenance worker for the Oak Hill apartment complex. When he retired in 2009 some of his favorite past times were spending time with all of his nieces and nephews (who enjoyed hearing their uncle use his favorite saying which was "Deluxe"), bird watching with friends, watching television and eating chocolate. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Marlene (Swaninger) Brown, Sister Judith Schorr, Brothers David and Gregory. Jack will be greatly missed by family, friends of 50 years, his nieces and nephews and the crew at Bob Evans Restaurant where he dined daily. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kathy to help with funeral expenses. All who knew Jack are invited to a "Celebration of Jack's Life" on Saturday, October 29th, at St. Michaels Church, 420 Sandusky Street, Toledo, Ohio from 2:00 to 4:30.
