James A
Sterling
Aug 25, 1960 — May 14, 2025
In Loving Memory of James "Jim" Sterling
James "Jim" Sterling, a man known for his humor, warmth, and love of the outdoors, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and laughter.
Jim was a proud and dedicated member of Local 45, working as a pipe insulator for 30 years. He took great pride in his work and the friendships he formed along the way. He was the kind of man who could light up a room with his stories, always ready with a joke, and never missed a chance to make someone smile.
Born to the late Ed and Josephine Sterling, Jim carried forward their values of hard work, kindness, and family. Outside of work, Jim found true joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time outdoors, mowing his grass, and especially playing golf, a game he loved for both the challenge and the camaraderie it brought.
Jim is survived by his wife, Julie, his daughters, Ashley and Marissa, and grandchildren Lucy, Jamie, Roman, Joseph and Amelia whose lives he filled with love, laughter, and guidance.
He also leaves behind his sister Sue and her husband Bob, his brother Ed and his wife Sandy, and his beloved nieces Katherine, Jessica, and Emily. His family was his pride, and he was a constant source of support and humor in their lives.
Jim's spirit lives on in the memories he created with those who knew and loved him. Whether on the golf course, detailing his car, or at the kitchen table cracking jokes, his presence was always felt and will be deeply missed.
