James Eugene Truby , age 79, passed away on August 29, 2018. Jim was born on July 1, 1939 to Walter and Loretto Truby in Toledo, Ohio. He had 4 siblings: Dennis, Nicole, Ron and Mary. In 1965, he married Carleen Corthell and they had 5 children along with 5 grandchildren. He was a good father who enjoyed spending time with his family and church, and he was known and loved for his silliness. Jim had a love for fishing and the outdoors, and also had multiple careers including selling insurance, managing properties, and appraising homes. He was an enthusiastic member of Hope Baptist Church for over 30 years and found peace in fellowship and reading the Bible. He was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in August 2018 and passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He is survived by his children, Lance, Karen, Renee, Sarah and Annie, and his grandchildren Samantha, Alex, Andrew, Joelle and Audrey. He will be laid to rest, next to his wife, in a private ceremony at Calvary Cemetery in Toledo.
