Jerry Anton Splichal, 92 of Aurora, OH passed away peacefully at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo on August 15, 2023. He is survived by his wife Margaret (Kondrich) of 71 years, son Tony and wife Jennifer, and granddaughters Kayleigh and Kyra. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, their families, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Anna and Anton Splichal, sisters Mary Kolesar and Anna Nolan. Jerry was a mechanic, a cook, a businessman and most importantly a grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and his family, and loved his home in Aurora, OH. Throughout his lifetime he and Marge took many trips to Hawaii, Europe and various other destinations, always by cruise ship. They owned the Ivanhoe restaurant, and later opened Ivanhoe catering where they managed many events at the Solon Valley Party Center. Jerry was also a wonderful dancer and he and Marge were known to take the dance floor at family events. A celebration of life will be held in October in the Cleveland area.
