Joseph Allen Dickason, 56 passed away on December 25, 2022, at Divine White Oak of Toledo. He was born August 1, 1966, in Marion, Ohio to parents Lynda J. Ault and Glenn A. Dickason.
Joe spent his life living in the cities of Marion, Delaware, and Toledo Ohio where he worked as a master automobile mechanic. Joe was a man of many talents and had a passion for restoring classic cars. He was particularly proud of the "Christine" car, a 1957 Plymouth Fury, his off-the-frame restoration for which he won several awards. He later sold the car to a gentleman in England.
Joe was a multi-talented fixer of all things. He was a tenacious problem-solver who loved a challenge. From the time he was a child, he could diagnose and fix any mechanical issue. His mother and friends frequently relied on his expertise to help with a variety of projects. Joe was handy as a carpenter and solely built his own mechanic's garage from scratch.
Joe loved to cook and was known to create his own recipes. He was quick to share a story, had a great sense of humor, and never knew a stranger.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Dickason, and his stepmother, Beckie Dickason. He is survived by his mother Lynda Ault; his daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Steven Ernst; and their children Andre, Alivia, Andrew, and Addison; his son Joseph Dickason Jr. and daughter-in-law Joy Dickason and their children Elsa, Koda, and Zayne; sister and brother-in-law Christine and Timothy Taylor; nephew Brandon Wright.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
