Joseph (Joe) Matthew White, 58, of Toledo, Ohio, died December 3, 2021 at Toledo Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness. Joe was born the fourth of five children to the late Richard and Nancy White on September 8, 1963. He graduated from Libbey High School in 1982 and was employed in various maintenance and food service occupations. Joe was a caring, generous man who enjoyed his family, friends, good food, and the TV programs MASH and Star Trek. He was characterized by many who knew him as a "sweet soul". Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Francis and Nancy Lee White and his sister, Catherine Sue White. He is survived by his sisters, Sister Linda Marie White, SND of Whitehouse, OH; Deborah Mae Anderson (Daniel) of Covington, GA; Therese Rose White of Toledo, OH, as well as an aunt, Lois Koch of Norwalk, CT; nieces, grand-nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, cousins, and many good friends. Joe's family is grateful to the administration and staff of Toledo Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the loving care Joe received, especially over the last fifteen months. Joe's interment at Forest Cemetery in Toledo, Ohio will be held privately at a later date.
