Obituary

Judith "Judy" Kay Baril, 77, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Monday June 17, 2024 at the University of Toledo Medical Center.

Judy was born on June 9th, 1947 to William and Virginia Hymore in Toledo, Ohio. She attended Waite High School. She was married to Robert "Stu" Baril on September 11, 1965, and they shared many happy years together prior to his early departure from this life.

Judy spent most of her life devoted to her family as a homemaker, and this continued into her life as a grandmother. She had a love of hosting, and most who knew her could tell a story or two about the days spent by the pool surrounded by the beautiful garden she and Stu so meticulously tended to. Her skills in the kitchen were unmatched, and when asked for the recipes she never had one, you simply had to learn from her, and that was the greatest gift. Crafting was another hobby of Judy's as she spent many hours sewing, covered in hot glue and had a home full of items unique to her. Judy's absence will be profoundly felt, but her memory will be cherished.

She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Jeffrey Baril, Jennifer (Mark) Wallace & Joel (Laurie) Baril; her grandchildren, Ashlyn, Jacob (Angelica), Jarret, & Lucas; and two great grandchildren, Elliana & Easton; a special thank you to her niece, Angela, who was a dedicated caregiver in Judy's final months.

She is reunited with her husband, her parents, and her siblings.

Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Judy's life at the Toledo Sailing Club on Sunday July 7th, 2024, from 1pm-5pm, please note that parking is available in the Broadway lot across from the Toledo Zoo, those unable to navigate a small flight of stairs should drop off near the door, any questions please feel free to reach out to the family.
