Kent Harvey Swartz, age 64, of Martin, Ohio passed to his heavenly home on April 19, 2022, under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
Kent made everything fun and exciting - with a side of wicked humor. He was an avid NASCAR fan and even raced his own car at Toledo Speedway. He loved Lake Erie and spent over 40 years camping on its shores. He also enjoyed all water sports (a favorite activity was trying to flip his nieces and nephews while tubing). He was a great cook and could always be counted on to feed friends and family. Kent appreciated music and once sang in a group called Foggiest Notion. Kent was a parts man - working at NAPA, Kubota, Cub Cadet, and ending his career with Bass Pro.
Kent was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Naomi (Dunmyer) Swartz. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Gail (Kutzke) Swartz, and his sisters Diane Kurfis and Dawn (Anthony) Chorney. Although Kent had no human children, he loved his nieces and nephews: Sarah and Erica (Shawn Ashley) Kurfis, Jacob and Katlyn Chorney, Julie (Constantine) Wortman, Jennifer (Constantine) Pinkham, and greats Alexandria and Jordan, Steven and Mason, Dustin and Kela.
Kent will be greatly missed. The world will be less bright in his absence. There are no services at this time, but a Celebration of Life party will be held at a later date
