Kevin Raymond Hanington, 64, of Monclova, Ohio, a wonderful father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

Kevin was born on December 23, 1959, to parents George and Delores Hanington in Bar Harbor, Maine. He was not just a father, he was a guiding light for his children, Amanda (Anthony) Lab and Jessica (Mike) Griffith. He was a beloved "Papa" to Madison and Wyatt Lab and "Pops" to Emma and Caleb Griffith, showering them with his love and wisdom.

Kevin lived life to the fullest, finding joy in every moment. His family and friends were the most important aspects of his life; in times of community, you would hear him say, "This is what it's all about; I just love this!" He enjoyed traveling, taking trips to Keeneland, and riding on his Orange Honda Gold Wing motorcycle.

In addition to his children, grandchildren, and father, George Hanington of Steuben, Maine, Kevin leaves behind the following family: His siblings, Louene (Kenny) Fitzpatrick, Ernest Hanington, and Heather (Scott) Shepherd, along with several nieces and nephews, who lovingly called him the fun uncle.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Delores Hanington, and his sister-in-law, Shannon Hanington.

A service will be held in Maine.
