Larry Stephen Syrek, 64, passed away on the evening of March 6, 2016, at St. Vincent Medical Center due to unexpected heart complications; his spirit will forever live on. Every summer was a tradition, twice over. L.S. attended 60 races over 30 consecutive years at Michigan International Speedway, where he raised family and built lifelong friendships. Lions and Tigers, and Buckeyes, oh my! On any given Thursday, you would find him and his crew drinking long islands along the rail at Dolly and Joe's; "The more the merrier." His spirit and laugh were not only contagious, but something to which everyone looked forward. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Marjoire Syrek. He is survived by his brother Robin and Jody Syrek; nephews Matthew, Nathan, and Jason; his brother Mark and Cyndi Syrek; nieces Tori and Bianca; his daughter Alishia Syrek; grandsons Jonathon, Aiden, and Aaren; and daughter Angela Syrek, along with the many friends that he made family along his journey. Attendance is requested at Dolly and Joe's in Toledo, Ohio on Saturday, March 12th from 1-5pm. Come hungry, come happy, come to celebrate.
