Obituary

In Loving Memory of

Lee Contreras

October 2, 1979 – November 27, 2025

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lee Contreras, beloved fiancé, father, grandfather, and friend. Lee passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, at 11:05 AM, leaving this world at the age of 46. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity, strength, and unwavering love.

Lee was preceded in death by his mother, Carole O'Connell, and his father, Samuel Contreras. Their memory remained close to his heart throughout his life.

For 27 beautiful years, Lee shared his life with his fiancé, who stood by his side through every joy, challenge, and adventure. Together they built a family rooted in love and devotion, raising two daughters, Myla and Maleea Contreras. Lee was also blessed with a grandson, Jalen Kohler, the son of his daughter Maleea, who brought him endless joy.

Lee was a man of incredible talent and determination. As the owner of Lasting Impressions, his contracting business, he poured his heart into his work for many years. He took pride in his craftsmanship and built not only homes and projects—but trust, respect, and lasting relationships with those he served.

A gifted cook, Lee loved preparing meals for family and friends. Cooking was one of his greatest joys, and he delighted in bringing people together around the table. His generosity was known to all; Lee was the kind of man who would give his last twenty dollars to someone who needed it. His heart was big, kind, and always open.

Lee cherished time with his friends, especially snowmobiling on winter trails and sharing laughter and adventures. He also loved riding motorcycles, and some of his happiest moments were spent on the open road with his fiancé by his side, the two of them sharing freedom, fresh air, and quiet moments together.

Above all, Lee was a devoted partner, a caring father, a loving grandfather, and a steadfast provider. To know him was to know loyalty, kindness, and the kind of generosity that comes from deep within a good man's soul. His impact on those who loved him will continue to live on in the memories he created and the love he gave so freely.

Lee will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

May his spirit ride free, and may his love remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him most.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 24, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 3005 W. Laskey, Toledo, Ohio. All who knew and loved Lee are welcome.

If you want a version for the funeral program, a shorter newspaper version, or a more poetic tribute, I can prepare that too.
