Lee Glenn Monday Sr. TOLEDO- Lee Glenn Monday Sr., 84, died in the comfort of his home, in the early hours of March 7th, 2022. Lee was dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Lee was born in Clarkrange, TN, October 7th, 1937. Upon leaving high school, he served in the U.S. Airforce, stationed in both Germany and France. Upon leaving the air force, he moved to Toledo to be close to his sisters and spent the rest of his career with General Motors as a supervisor, mentoring those he worked with. Lee could be described as the provider, both hard-working, witty, family-oriented, and wise. He was engaged and caring with family. Lee was known for his green thumb and was a talented gardener. He enjoyed bowling with his close friend Ron Guy. Lee was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Lizzie Monday, his sibling Verda Buck, Alec Monday, Eugene Monday, Henry Monday, Maggie Beaty, Vicie Sharp, and his granddaughter Erica Stearns. Lee is survived by his wife Angela Monday, brother Paris Monday, sisters Gladys Womack and Georgia Bowling, three children Shelli (Mark) Jacobs, Ashley Monday, and Lee Monday, in addition, his stepchildren Mitchell (Jennifer) Shaffer, April Ware, and Greg Shaffer, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial for Lee Monday will be held for friends and family. The date and location for the memorial are to be determined.
