Leroy Smith, age 65 passed on to glory at Hospice of Northwest Ohio January 17, 2016. Leroy graduated from Howard University and worked for various counseling jobs in Toledo until he was disabled. He was preceded into heaven by his parents, William and Ruby Smith, brothers Jimmy Rodgers, Carl Smith and Sherman Smith, and best friend Donald Holman. He leaves behind to mourn his passing his brother Oscar and family, his brother Jimmy's family, brother Carl's family, son Chris Smith, grandson Zavier Smith, ex-wife Mary and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention. Leroy was an avid gardener and a skilled woodworker and was knowledgeable on every subject. But now you have a chance to rest now Mr. Smith. Just wait, we'll all be with you soon, and we will always love you. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, February 7, 2016 12:00 noon at Toledo Rescue, Gospel Mission Outreach Center, 670 Phillips on the corner of Phillips and Vermaas.
