Linda Altavia Murray, 65, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on May 18, 2023, due to several health complications.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., June 2, 2023, at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 445 Dorr Street, Toledo, Ohio.
Linda was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 28, 1957. She attended Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, Illinois and continued on to receive a bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo as well as an associate degree from Stautzenberger College.
Linda was married to Amy Taylor on [date here]; they were married for [?] years. Linda also had a long partnership with Tonya Hill who proceeded her in death and is truly missed.
Linda worked as a substance abuse counselor for a period of time.
Linda loved to dance, cook, watch movies and spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a vibrant personality and was known to hit you with a "What Up Craig!" on site.
Linda is survived by children Michael Murray Bey and wife Vickie Murray Bey (Toledo, Ohio), Isaac Murray (Jackson, Michigan), Samantha Markham and longtime spouse James "Big Buck" Dublin (Toledo, Ohio), brother William Mustafa and his lovely wife Rosalind Henderson-Mustafa (Chicago, Illinois) grandchildren Mercedes Murray (Jacksonville, Illinois), Marshay Murray (Cleveland, Ohio), Donte Smith (Toledo, Ohio), Dion Smith (Toledo, Ohio) Dominick Smith (Toledo, Ohio) Squirt (Toledo, Ohio), Jatavia (Toledo, Ohio). Great grandkids Wook (Jacksonville, Illinois) and Jurnee (Jacksonville, Illinois), very special friends Amy Taylor and her lovely wife Jamelia Washington-Taylor.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents James Wharton and lovely wife Willie Mae Wharton and Arlene Murray.
The family of Linda would like to give a special thanks to the Heatherdowns Rehab and Residential Center and to all other family and friends who helped support in Linda's final days.
