Marilyn Harwell, 63, died November 20, 2023 at University of Toledo Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born June 20, 1960 in Toledo, OH. The daughter of E.W. and Ora Lee Harwell. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Peoples Missionary Baptist Church. Marilyn graduated from Scott High School, class of 1979. During high school and following graduation Marilyn worked at Maples Nursing Home as an aid. She briefly attended Stautzenberger College for nursing. In addition to both parents Marilyn was predeceased by her daughter LaVonda, sisters; Paulene, Gloria Jean, Beverly, Elaine, and Ora; brothers, Alvin, and Larry; grandson Kyle. She is survived by her children Kamisha (Scott), DeShawn, Robert, and Latoya; grandchildren Talaya, Rakahla, Melakie, Eliana, and Josiah (JoJo), sisters; Deborah and twin sister Carolyn. Marilyn will be missed by the many who knew and loved her. There were many friends along the way who instantly connected and bonded with her. With her conversation and contagious laughter, she had the ability to light up any room. She was fun-loving, and would tell you exactly what she was thinking. Mostly, she was a mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved her five grandchildren; they were all she talked about. She enjoyed Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Pepsi, the stories, clothes, and talking with friends and family. Service Details.
