6/4/1942 - 4/14/2018 Mary Perry of South Toledo passed away on Saturday, April 14, due to complications from cancer. Mary was a 1960 graduate of Waite High School and was involved in the planning of class reunions and events. She enjoyed her monthly lunches with the girls from school. Mary loved her Detriot Tigers and anything Ohio State. She was an avid reader and needlepointer and was a member of The Eastern Stars, Lotus Chapter. Mary put up a corageous two year battle with cancer with the help of Dr. Richard Phinney and the staff at the Toledo Clinic Oncology Center. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Merritt Sr. and Martha; brothers, Merritt Jr. (Bud) and Franklin Samuel (Sam); and husband, Robert O. (Bob) Perry. She is survived by her sons, Robert Scott (Glynis) and Ross Edward (Kellie Ann); three grandsons; five granddaughters; one great-grandson; and one great-granddaughter; and beloved cat, Marley. The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, for the outstanding care that Mary received during her last days. The family would also like to thank friends, Gary Kahn, Sherry Mitchell, Katie Millwood, Chris Herrdegen, and Donna, Tommy and the great crew at American Table on Glendale Avenue for their love, help, and encouragement through this process. The family would also like to thank Audrey Palumbo for the beautiful flowers that she brought to Mary while she was at Hospice. A celebration of life will be announced later. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Lucas County Humane Society.
