Michael Myers II, devoted father, son and brother died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at his home in Fostoria, Ohio. He was 37 years old.
Michael's passion in life was his fianc Betty and the love they shared as well as his five children. He and Betty shared six years together and they had his youngest two children. He often voiced that Betty was the love of his life and his soulmate.
Michael's adoptive mother came into his life when he was a teenager. Michael is the child that made Mia a mother. He often credited her for saving his life and teaching him how to love and to trust. She introduced him to cooking and expanded his palate with various ethnic dishes. He was especially fond of Lebanese food, stuffed grape leaves and kibbeh were his favorites.
Anyone who knew Michael knew he loved Michigan State. It was definitely an obsession. Go Spartans! He was very talented, especially in art. He loved to draw. He even taught himself how to draw using his right hand after his left hand was injured. His talents extended to construction, roofing, automotive repair and electrical work. For many years he was self-employed as a contractor. There wasn't a task or job he would not do. He even repaired his future in-law's dishwasher.
Michael is survived by his fianc Betty Stricklen, children Makenize, Benjamin, Abby, Xavier and stepdaughter Makayla; his adoptive mother, Mia Cellura Addes; his older brother, Ryan and sister-in-law Lauren and their children Austin, Mikayla, Isaiah, Savannah and Ryan Jr; his younger brothers Daniel Deible, James Schuett and Shane Schuett; his grandmothers, JoAnn Cellura and Marilyn Bear; and his fur companions Freddie and Daphne.
Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Bobbie Joe Proudfoot; grandfathers, Salvatore Cellura and Abraham Stricklen.
A Celebration of Life for Michael will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Bowling Green Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1163 North Main Street, Bowling Green, OH. Please help us celebrate Michael by wearing his favorite colors green and white or wear Michigan State gear.
