Milton H. Boggs Sr. passed away April 27, 2018. Mr. Boggs was born in Jackson, Ohio March 6, 1931 to Horace and Amelia (Duncan) Boggs. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 and achieving the rank of Sergeant (E7) in 1957. He then worked for Owens Corning until his retirement. A devoted father and grandfather, he loved spending time sharing stories of his youth and his Irish heritage. He was a lifelong college football fan with a great fondness for THE Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed spending time working in his workshop building and repairing different projects as well as collecting old cast iron cars, knives and Marine Corp memorabilia. Milt was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Amelia Boggs. He is survived by his children, Milton (Terry) Boggs Jr., daughter Anne (Brian) Thompson, extended daughter Nancy Schlacter (McNalley), grandchildren Cooper and Tucker Boggs. Services will be held Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the chapel at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park at 11 a.m. The family wish to thank all the caregivers at ProMedica Hospice and the Goerlich Center for Alzheimer and Dementia Care for their outstanding support and care.
