Nettie May Burchell was born July 21st 1956 in Toledo to Daisy and Walter Hartford. Nettie was a sweet, fun-loving, and caring soul who touched the lives and hearts of many. She found much joy in caring for animals, children, and babies. At times, she cared for so many children that her home was referred to as "Nettie's nursery." Some of her many unique gifts included her abilities to find any item that was misplaced, to nurse sick animals back to health, and to comfort friends and family with her kind heart, great listening skills, and contagious smile. She always did whatever she could do to help anyone in need. Nettie departed this world on May 5th 2013 surrounded by her family. A memorial will be held on Saturday May 25th at 1 PM at the Rain Tree Village shelter house on Alexis Road between Stickney and Enterprise (near Detroit).
