Osburn Edward Henderson was born July 1, 1939 to Lady B. Thomas and Silas Henderson in Rising, AK. He passed away June 23, 2015. He graduated from the Jesup W. Scott High in Toledo, Ohio. After High School he enlisted in the Military service, his duties Included, Light Weapons Infantry, Qualified Parachutist, Honorably Discharged after serving from 1956-1959. He Worked as a Chemical Dependency Counselor for many years. Osburn loved all sports, especially bowling, watching Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune (he didn't want any interruptions while trying to solve puzzles). Osburn was a humorous man who loved telling stories to his loved ones and friends; sometimes we wouldn't know what the meaning of the stories were until days, weeks, or years later, but we enjoyed listening to his wisdom. He was a member of both Bethlehem Baptist Church and United Vision Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory: Karen Henderson (daughter),Osburn Henderson Jr. (son), Grandchildren: Quesha (Marcus)Jefferson, Eunique Jones, Emmanuel Lee Henderson, Great grandchildren: Christiana Jefferson, Mariah Jefferson,Jayden Jones, and a host of other loving relatives and friends. A precious one from us has gone, A voice we love is stilled, A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled.
