Patricia Ann Smith of Pettisville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Embassy Healthcare in Swanton, Ohio after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 8, 1959, in Lorain, Ohio to David and Juliet Lee. Patricia graduated from Lorain Admiral King in 1977. After graduation, Patricia went to work as a caretaker at Oakhill Nursing Home in Lorain. She also worked at Moen in their summer program in Elyria, Ohio. She later went to work at St. John Westshore Hospital in Westlake, Ohio for several years as a Sterile Processing Technician. After leaving Lorain in the early 1990s, Patricia moved to Northwestern Ohio. It was at this time that she changed career paths and ventured into the cooking arena. She worked in this industry as a respected certified chef at Das Essen for fifteen years; essentially until her illness.

Patricia was the life of the party. She loved cooking, singing, dancing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. The joy of her life was spending time with her grandchildren Zendaya and Lavaiah Wallace, who kept her young. Patricia is survived by her son, Robert E. Johnson III; her daughter, Patrice Smith; and Grandchildren Zendaya and Lavaiah Wallace.

She will also leave in remembrance: Juliet Lee (Mother), Sandra Smith (Mother-In-Law), Sisters: Rebecca Duffy, Retina Harris (Rufus), Yvette Harris (David) and Brenda Lee, Brothers: Demetrius “Choo” Lee, David Tyrone Lee, Willie Lee and Amos Lee. She leaves behind a host of beloved nephews, nieces, family and friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Walter Smith, her father David Lee, brother Reginald Grant, and brother Vincent Lee.
