It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Pollyanne Caumartin. Born on October 8,1946 to Phillip and Lorayne (Snyder) Hamil in Saginaw,MI. Pollyanne left this world on January 28, 2022 surrounded by her two daughters holding her hand along with her devoted dog Bella.
• Polly was known for her caring and helping others. She obtained a degree in Social Work, but decided to go to Travel School working for Central Travel for 27 years. She became a travel enthusiast, visiting many exciting places including Paris, Germany, Portugal, Africa on safari, Alaska, and many more. She used her social work degree and volunteered for Lucas County as a CASA for abused and neglected children. After retiring from Central Travel in 2013, she became a Para for Sylvania Schools, which she loved.
She was loved by all she met, but especially her family. Pollyanne is predeceased by her parents and Nephew, Andrew Steele. She is survived by her sister Phyllis (William) Steele, Daughters Stacey Caumartin and Sarah (Joshua Donnell) Caumartin. Grandchildren Nicholas Delventhal, Jacob (Nicole) Bilek, Jessie Delventhal, Bradley Bilek, Ryan Bilek, Mitchel Delventhal, Mason Donnell, Kaitlin Kenney, and her Nephew Douglas (Jeanette) Steele. There will be a family celebration of life in the near future. The family is requesting memorial contributions to any Humane Society in the area or The Ability Center of Greater Toledo, Monroe Street, which was near and dear to Mom's heart.
