RICHARD "RICK" PETERS Richard "Rick" Charles Peters, 61, a loving and proud husband, father, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday September 19, 2018 at The Toledo Hospital after a short illness. The son of Charles and Phyllis (Dickens) Peters, Rick was born on May 15, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois. Raised In Toledo, Ohio, he graduated from Sylvania Northview High School in 1974. Rick proudly served his country in The United States Air Force. He was employed as an union laborer through The Local 500, retiring in 2012 after over 30 years of service. Rick enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors, gardening, and collecting cast iron pieces. Rick is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Ellie; children, Jennifer (Gene) Peters-Hieber, Laura (Terry) Burkholder; 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Nicholas, Megan, Calleigh, Hope; mother, Phyllis Peters. He was preceded in death by his father; Charles Peters, and brother; Jeffrey Peters. A Memorial/Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 7th, 2018 from 12-6 pm at Providence Lutheran Church in Holland, Ohio.
