Richard Edward Royce (Rick), age 56, of Toledo, Ohio passed away March 7, 2016. Born on May 25, 1959, in Burlington, VT to Richard Dale Royce and Barbara Lou Royce (Dickey). Rick graduated from Bowsher High School in 1977. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout as a teenager and had a long career in sales. Rick was an avid camper and served many years as the president of the Friends of Maumee Bay State Park. Rick is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kathy Royce (Gargac); father Richard D. Royce; sisters, Vicki Galligan (Dennis) and Michelle Bittner (David); son, Jason Royce (Nicole); daughters, Brandi Cooper (Todd), and Tara Royce; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Nicolas, Brianna, Logan, Jade, Chance, Zoey, Zane, Ryder, and Chloe. He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Royce (Dickey) and his daughter, Brittney Royce. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. with visitation preceding at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 13th at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 East Indiana Ave., Perrysburg. A memorial service will be scheduled at a future date at Maumee Bay State Park. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to his Widow Kathy Royce for funeral expenses.
