Richard Lee Watson, (Rick-Dick /Dick Lee), 63 of Toledo died Saturday January 6, 2016 at Hospice of Toledo. Richard was born January 27 1953 in Sterling, Michigan to Robert and Mary Watson. He was married to Dawn Widmer on July 10 2007. Richard serviced our country in the United States Army. During his service in 1973 he toured Vietnam and Germany. After his service to our country, Richard worked at Doehler Jarvis on Detroit Ave., for 24 years until they closed in May of 1997. Following his employment at Doehler Jarvis, Richard worked for Anderson's Warehouse and Hy-tech packaging as a forklift operator. Rich was an avid sports fanatic. His favorite teams included: Michigan, MSU Wolverines, The Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, and Nascar's Carl Edwards. He also enjoyed bank fishing, Bowling, pool, horse racing and cards. Rich is survived by his loving k-9 companions; Duke and Sassy, His wife Dawn Widmer, his mother Mary E. Watson, his Sisters; Ruth M. Kiot, Irene (Roger)Hiltman, His brother ; Robert (Jan)Watson, his brother - in-law; Alan Widmer, many loving nephews, nieces, and Great nephews, niece. Richard was Proceeded in death by his father; Robert E. Watson, His Grandparents on both sides of his family, nephews, nieces, and his mother- in- law Sandra Widmer. The family would like to extend a very specical thanks to Hospice of Toledo (Davida), Dialysis of Point Place, St. Vincent Hospital Vascular Unit, and Pastor Ken.
