Rosalind Watson Banford (Cookie) joined her heavenly father
peacefully with her family by her side on April 13th at 620 Chestnut
St. in Toledo, OH. Cookie was born to Dorothy Mae Dyer-Watson
(mother) and Willie Junior Watson (father) at Maumee Valley
Hospital on 03/10/1959. She attended Scott H. S. but later
graduated from Bowsher H. S. She then went off to Stautzenberger
College for nursing. On 11/26/1980 she married John Jr. Banford
(Frog). She was a loving wife, aunt, friend and mother even to those
she didn't birth. She loved to cook, play card games, drink her
favorite beer (Milwaukee Best Ice) and talk the most stuff with
family and friends. She was also a loving sister and daughter. She
didn't play games when it came down to her siblings, they called
she came kicking butts and asking questions later (much later).
She was a strong, proud woman/mother who did her best to care for
her family/friends. Cookie was loved by everyone whether they were
blood or not. Cookie or Roz as some of you may have called her was
preceded in death by her parent, step parents, brother, aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews, cousins and great-nephew who all greeted her at
the gate to welcome her home with open loving arms. She leaves to
cherish her memory husband John (frog) Banford, daughter

My mother chose to be cremated for her final resting place.
Therefore we will not be having a traditional funeral service.
However we will be having a celebration of life for her on April 24,
2021 at 2pm until the cops come knocking. The location will be 620
Chestnut St. the field right next door. So feel free to come out to
share the memories you have of my mom.
