Rosella P. (Rose) Kunkel departed this world on Wednesday morning, August 22 surrounded by her children. Rose was born on September 23,1931 to John and Madonna (Bakle) McGaharan. She was the second youngest of thirteen children. She attended Good Shepard Catholic School and Waite High School. She married Paul W. Kunkel in 1959 and they were married for over 27 years until his passing in1986. Before she was married, Rose worked for the Napoleon Creamery and the former Penney's on Sylvania Ave. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her loving children; Paul Kunkel Jr. (Cynthia Meyers), Susan (Leroy) Madison and Ann (Terrie) Riffle. Grandchildren;Leroy, Nick and Brooke Madison; Christopher (Stephanie) Kunkel and Heather Riffle. Great-grandchildren Carter Kunkel and Rylie Riffle. She also leaves behind her sister Pat Fulton and brother John (Margaret) McGaharan. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Rose on Saturday September 22 at 10:00 am at Christ The King Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to meet at 9:00 am at the church before the Mass. Her children would like to thank the ParkCliff Community for their seven years of love and care and Heartland Hospice for her final care. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
