Ruie Ellen Bettinger (Hansen) Entered into eternal peace on November 2, 2016 at the age of 70. Ruie was born on New Year's day ,1946, in Rapid City South Dakota to Howard and Ellen Hansen. She married Dale Bettinger on February 7, 1983, in Toledo Ohio. Ruie was an avid gardener, puzzler and cook. She loved to work in her flower beds and start her plants from seed. She canned almost everything she grew. She loved jig saw puzzles and always had a puzzle started. She and Dale spent a lot of time raising tracking beagles and had 3 champions. They spent a lot of time at the Ottawa Beagle club in Defiance Ohio. Ruie is survived by her husband Dale Bettinger son Carter Owens of Lafayette, Louisiana daughter Mary (James) Saxer of Swanton, Ohio daughter Christine (Ken) Wrobel of Flat Rock, Michigan Grand children Nick and Nathen Owens, Andrew, Amanda, Sara (Travis Little) and Alex Saxer Robert and Daniel Wrobel.
