Cleghorn Sharon K. (Pfleghaar) Sharon Kathryn Cleghorn, 77, of Maumee passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016, at home after a long struggle with pulmonary fibrosis. Sharon was born February 3, 1939 in Perrysburg, Ohio the eighth child of Joseph and Henrietta (Brickner) Pfleghaar. She was a proud 1957 graduate of Maumee High School. She married Edwin J. Cleghorn on April 23, 1960. Sharon was employed as a toll collector for the Ohio Turnpike for 20 years. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the funeral luncheon committee. Sharon and Ed enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach annually and any other beach with nice clear water. Sharon was an accomplished seamstress. She also enjoyed doting on her grandchildren, keeping her cookie jar full of homemade goodies, and took as a personal challenge removing any stains from any fabric. Sharon enjoyed lunching with her friends from Curves, the Ohio Turnpike and YMCA water aerobics class. She also cherished her lifetime friendship with Delia Parker. In addition to her loving husband, Ed, she is survived by her children, Kimberly (Mark) Karchner, Ellen (Don) Clark, Todd (Lisa) Cleghorn and Thad Cleghorn; grandchildren, Kendall, Brendan (Kate Waggoner) and Evan Karchner, Ryan, Dylan, Kaylin and Jayson Cleghorn, and Dalton, Drake, Devon, Delaney and Danielle Cleghorn. Also surviving are her brothers, James, Robert, Ronald (Kathy), Gerald (Beverly), David (Janet) and Daniel Pfleghaar; sisters, Ellen Dinkens, Carol (Adrian) Carvalho and Diane Jenkins; and in-laws, Rose Pfleghaar, Robert Gardner, Judy Cleghorn and John Menden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Drew Cleghorn; brothers, Eugene and Gordon Pfleghaar; and sister, Dolores Gardner. Her family would like to express gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio, especially Carolyn and Laura, as well as her extended family and friends for their regular visits during the last few months. Family and friends will be received at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 W. Broadway, Maumee on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with the Mass of Resurrection celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee.
