Wesley David Penrod, Age 38, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in
Richfield Township, Ohio. Wesley was born on December 09, 1980 in Gastonia, North Carolina.
The first born son of David Penrod and Lorrie Miller-Colton. He attended North Central Schools
in Pioneer, Ohio and Waldron area schools in Waldron Michigan as well as Toledo, Ohio. A long
time resident of each area he made friends that became family. At the time of his passing he
resided in Fayette, Ohio.
Wesley is survived by his parents, Father; David Penrod (Linda Secor) of Deerfield, Michigan.
Mother; Lorrie Miller-Colton (Carl Colton) of Westland, Michigan. Four Children, Son, Logan
Penrod (Megan Childress) of Toledo, Ohio. His Granddaughter, Piper Penrod, Toledo, Ohio.
Grandson, Logan Penrod Jr., Son, Gauge Penrod, Athens, Ohio. Son, Gunner Penrod, Toledo,
Ohio. Daughter, Faith Penrod, Toledo, Ohio. Grandfather, Karl Miller, Alvordton, Ohio. Adopted
Mother, Sonya Mcnett, Munson, Michigan.
Wesley is survived by siblings. Sara Penrod, Edgerton, Ohio. Shiloh Chism (Bill Chism)
Bradenton, Florida. Joel Penrod, Westland, Michigan.
Wesley's Fiance', Melissa Dominique, Fayette, Ohio. Together they cared for her children.
Chantel Rapp Leis (Matt & Baby Declan), Wauseon, Ohio. Desmond Rapp, Wauseon, Ohio.

Wesley loved to Hunt, Fish, University of Michigan Football and Detroit Lions, Softball
tournaments with friends, Camping trips with his family to Indiana. He was a Father,
Grandfather, Son, Cousin, Grandson, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Coach and beloved Friend. The
biggest part of his heart was saved for his family and his closest friends. He was loyal to no fault
and had an unshakable love for his children, Grandchild, nieces & nephews. He was a
Protector. There were simple things that he cherished. He loved the outdoors, the water,
fishing… The peacefulness of the lake and the next big catch. He struggled with some adversity
as many do but His strength will be remembered by many.
In Lieu of Flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild,
Friend & significant other or just take the time to walk in the woods for a moment, Grab up your
fishing gear & make it a family event. An hour or a day. Time waits for no one and life is too
precious to let us pass it by. Hold those you love close and never let them go.
